Bithlo Food Pantry Volunteer
On the first Wednesday of every month, we distribute food provided by Second Harvest Food Bank to the community. We need assistance all year long, but especially in the summer months when the heat quickly depletes us of our energy.
Responsibilities
Volunteers are needed to:

Unload food from pallets/boxes
-
Distribute food onto tables/bags
-
Load food into clients' carts or vehicles
-
Break down boxes
-
Give smiles and have fun!
When is help needed?
These are the shifts available for our food pantry days:
10am - 11:00am - Packing
11:00am - 3pm - Distribution

1:00pm - 3:00pm - Clean-up
*Lunch is provided to volunteers.*
Threads of Light Volunteer
Our clothing program receives and distributes many donations from the community. We need help sorting and inventorying clothing and hygiene items so they can be accessible to those who need them.
Responsibilities
Volunteers are needed to help:

Sort, inventory, hang, and fold clothing

Make hygiene kits
-
Cut and crochet unusable items into something new (optional)!

Can I earn volunteer hoursfor Bright Futures Scholarship?
Yes! We are a community 501c3 and can sign-off on the hours that you serve with us.
I want to volunteer, but I also need food or other services!
Times are tough and we appreciate your willingness to help us! As a volunteer, you will have a chance to grab groceries for you and your family. You can definitely do both!
